Scott Ritter Claims Russia Holds Upper Hand Over NATO in Ukraine War

Scott Ritter, a military analyst and former US Navy intelligence officer, has stated that Russia holds a position of strength in the Ukraine war and, according to him, NATO lacks the capability to effectively withstand Moscow.
International media, citing Sputnik, report that Ritter emphasized the Ukraine war has entered a new phase with Russia achieving advances on the battlefield. He warned that the current situation could lead to “very frightening” developments.
The analyst believes Russia’s economy remains stable, while Moscow is simultaneously pursuing active diplomacy on the international stage. He added that Russia, by adopting a multipolar strategy, seeks to reduce US hegemony and holds the upper hand politically and economically.
Ritter further described NATO as “very weak,” claiming the military alliance faces limitations in resources and capabilities. He predicted that ultimately, Russia will emerge victorious in this war.
The Ukraine conflict, which began in 2022, continues to be one of the most significant geopolitical disputes worldwide, with assessments about its outcome varying.
