Israel Calls Up Reservists Amid Security Meeting on Lebanon Tensions

Israeli media have reported that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, along with Israel Katz, the Defense Minister, held an urgent security meeting to discuss developments on the Lebanon front and issues related to Iran. This meeting took place amid rising tensions along Lebanon’s southern borders.

According to reports, the main focus of the talks was to assess the field situation in Lebanon and to evaluate the next military steps. Further details about the content of the meeting have not been released, but Israeli sources have linked it to recent regional developments.

At the same time, Netanyahu referred to the call-up of reservist forces, stating that Tel Aviv will not only maintain the intensity of its attacks but also seeks to accelerate them. These remarks come amid growing concerns about the escalation of the conflict in the region.

Israel’s public radio and television organization also reported that the Israeli army has begun mobilizing reservist forces to intensify military operations on Lebanese soil. According to the report, even soldiers who had recently been discharged have been called back to reserve duty immediately—a move that may indicate readiness for a new phase of military tensions.
