Taliban Authorities Intensify Vehicle Speed Monitoring Ahead of Eid al-Adha

The Technical Services and Safety Department of the Taliban Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that with the approach of the blessed Eid al-Adha and the increased traffic on highways, the process of monitoring and controlling the speed of passenger vehicles has been intensified.
According to the department, the purpose of this action is to reduce traffic incidents and ensure the safety of passengers during days when interprovincial travel typically rises.
Officials added that monitoring teams are regularly present on the highways, and the speed checks on passenger vehicles will continue so that citizens can travel to their destinations with greater confidence.
Although travel usually increases annually during Eid, the lack of effective supervision and insufficient facilities on some highways remain challenges of concern to citizens. It is expected that the Taliban administration will implement practical and sustainable measures to improve road safety.
