Taliban Ministry Signs New Agreement to Improve Facilities for Teachers Across Afghanistan

Officials at the Taliban’s Ministry of Education have announced that the ministry’s Human Resources Department has signed a memorandum of understanding with the company “Afghan Post Emirates” to provide enhanced facilities for teachers throughout the country. According to them, the aim of this agreement is to create administrative and service conveniences for educators.

The precise details of these facilities and how they will be implemented have not yet been clearly explained. It is also unclear which specific services for teachers this cooperation will cover and when it will be put into practice.

In recent years, many teachers in various provinces have complained about a lack of resources, delays in administrative processes, and livelihood challenges. Given this situation, it is expected that any new agreement will lead to tangible improvements in teachers’ working and welfare conditions, rather than remaining only a formal announcement.

Educational experts emphasize that strengthening the education system and effectively supporting teachers play a fundamental role in improving the quality of education in the country, requiring transparent, accountable, and measurable programs.
