Taliban reshuffles three security officials in Faryab and Samangan

The Taliban administration has announced that Hibatullah Akhundzada has changed the posts of three of its security officials in the provinces of Faryab and Samangan, as well as in the 209 Al-Fatah Corps.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban administration’s spokesman, said in a statement on Thursday, 26 September, that these officials have been appointed to new positions.

According to the statement, Sirajuddin Ahmadi, the former Taliban police chief in Faryab province, has been appointed commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade of the 209 Al-Fatah Corps.

Also, Mullah Nader Haqju, the former commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade of the 209 Al-Fatah Corps, has been appointed as the Taliban’s police chief in Samangan province.

Meanwhile, Makhdoom Abdul Khabeer, the former Taliban police chief in Samangan province, has been appointed as the administration’s police chief in Faryab province.

The 209 Al-Fatah Corps is part of the Taliban administration’s military structure in the northern zone, and Faryab and Samangan are among Afghanistan’s northern provinces.
