70 Uzbek Traders Visit Balkh to Expand Economic Ties with Afghanistan

A joint meeting between Afghan and Uzbek traders was held in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, aiming to expand economic relations and strengthen trade cooperation. During the event, both sides discussed increasing trade exchanges and exploring new investment opportunities.

Nasir Ahmad Sultanzada, Deputy of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, stated that holding such meetings plays an important role in economic growth, job creation, and developing trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. He emphasized that Balkh traders are fully prepared to cooperate and provide facilities to foreign investors.

Meanwhile, Abdulrahmanov, head of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Industry and Commerce, announced that 70 traders and investors from Uzbekistan have traveled to Balkh to assess production, export, import, and various industrial sectors. According to him, this delegation seeks to closely examine joint cooperation and investment opportunities with Afghan traders.

The head of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce added that his country is interested in developing economic relations with Afghanistan and efforts continue to increase the volume of trade between the two sides. Due to its geographical location and proximity to Central Asia, Balkh is considered one of Afghanistan’s most important trade gateways with regional countries.
