Two Drug Processing Factories Destroyed in Ghor Province by Taliban-led Police Forces

The Ghor provincial police command, under Taliban administration, announced that anti-narcotics police forces have discovered and dismantled two drug processing factories within the province’s jurisdiction. During the operation, 300 liters of alcohol, 7,820 kilograms of opium latex, 522 kilograms of soda, and 1,675 kilograms of other substances were also seized and burned.

According to the published information, these materials were destroyed and burned at the site of discovery. Security officials have not provided details regarding the exact locations of the factories or how they operated.

In connection with the production and trafficking of these substances, 18 individuals have been arrested. Authorities stated that the detainees will be handed over to judicial and legal institutions after the completion of initial investigations.

Ghor province, a mountainous region in the western part of the country, has witnessed reports of narcotics-related activities in certain areas over recent years. However, oversight agencies have consistently emphasized the importance of transparency in arrest procedures and fair handling of related cases.
