Dozens of Leprosy Patients Discharged After Treatment in Ghor Province

Officials at a 300-bed specialized leprosy treatment center in Ghor province have announced that dozens of patients have been discharged and returned to their families after completing their treatment and showing health improvements.

According to the center’s officials, the treatment of these patients was conducted according to a structured health program. Following a final evaluation of their conditions, a designated committee decided to release the patients back to their families.

This center is one of the few specialized facilities in the country providing dedicated medical services to leprosy patients. Leprosy is a contagious but treatable disease; if diagnosed and treated promptly, its progression can be prevented.

Officials emphasized that health monitoring of the patients will continue after discharge to prevent the recurrence or spread of the disease in the affected areas.
