Israeli Security Cabinet Holds Meeting on Iran and Lebanon Developments

Israeli sources have reported that the regime’s security cabinet convened a meeting to discuss developments related to Iran and Lebanon. So far, no official details about the content of this meeting have been released.

According to Al Jazeera’s report citing these sources, the meeting was held this evening and focused on reviewing the latest developments concerning ongoing confrontations and tensions with Iran and Lebanon.

Israeli media had announced the meeting hours earlier, stating that security cabinet members were set to assess the military and political situation. In Israel’s political structure, the security cabinet is responsible for decision-making on key military and security matters.

Meanwhile, the Hebrew-language website Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a session reviewing his corruption cases, said he needed to go to the Defense Ministry headquarters to make a phone call.

According to the media outlet, the judge had earlier rejected Netanyahu’s request to postpone the start of the court session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM; however, the temporary departure to the Defense Ministry headquarters was permitted. It remains unclear how directly this call was related to the security cabinet meeting.
