Taliban’s Transport Ministry Installs 21 Advanced Meteorological Devices Across Afghanistan

The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced the installation and activation of 21 advanced meteorological devices valued at over 8.5 million Afghanis at airports and several provinces across Afghanistan in the Persian year 1404.

In a statement posted on its X page, the ministry said the cost of these devices was funded from its internal budget. The equipment has been installed at both international and domestic airports as well as at key locations in the country.

According to the source, the purpose of installing these devices is to improve weather forecasting systems and increase the accuracy of aviation services. This is crucial for flight safety and better management of air traffic.

Based on the information provided, a total of 84 advanced and manual meteorological devices are currently operational in different areas of the country. These devices are used for weather forecasting and providing precise information to relevant sectors.
