Foundation Laid for Four Major Health Projects in Jowzjan Province

The foundation stone for four major health projects in Jowzjan province was laid in the presence of the provincial governor and the acting Minister of Public Health of the Taliban administration. These projects include the construction of a 30-bed hospital in Aqcha district, the establishment of a comprehensive health center in Mingajik district, the inauguration of a clinic in Khwaja Du Koh district, and the construction of a neonatal ward in the provincial hospital of Jowzjan.
According to Taliban officials, the completion of these projects will improve access to health services for residents of Aqcha and Mingajik districts and provide the conditions for delivering higher-quality medical services.
Jowzjan province, located in northern Afghanistan, has faced a shortage of health centers and medical facilities in recent years. Many residents of the province have frequently complained about the long distances to medical centers, as well as the lack of equipment and healthcare staff.
Although the launch of these projects is considered a positive step, citizens emphasize that timely completion, proper equipping of the centers, and provision of professional staff are essential conditions for genuinely improving healthcare services in the province.
