Five Pakistani Soldiers Killed or Injured in Armed Attacks in Balochistan

Five Pakistani soldiers were killed or injured in separate armed attacks on military positions in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. One soldier was killed and four others injured in incidents occurring in parts of Quetta city as well as in the districts of Kachhi and Nushki.
Local Pakistani officials reported that armed assailants attacked military checkpoints using hand grenades and light firearms. They also stated that some vehicles were fired upon during these attacks.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, similar past incidents in Balochistan have been attributed to Baloch separatist groups.
Balochistan, located in southwestern Pakistan, has experienced ongoing insecurity and sporadic conflicts for many years. Due to its geographical position and strategic importance, the region remains a hotspot of tension between security forces and armed groups opposed to Pakistan’s central government.
