Five Pakistani Soldiers Killed or Injured in Armed Attacks in Balochistan

Five Pakistani soldiers were killed or injured in separate armed attacks on military positions in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. The incidents took place in parts of Quetta city as well as in the districts of Kachhi and Nushki.

Local Pakistani officials reported that armed militants attacked military checkpoints, using hand grenades and light firearms in these assaults. They also said that some vehicles were fired upon during the attacks.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for these attacks. However, similar past incidents in Balochistan have been attributed to Baloch separatist groups.

Balochistan, located in southwestern Pakistan, has long experienced insecurity and sporadic clashes. Due to its geographic position and strategic importance, the region has remained a site of tension between security forces and armed groups opposing Pakistan’s central government.
