Hamas Labels Israeli Drone Attack in Northern Gaza as Genocide

A spokesperson for the Hamas movement declared that the Israeli army’s drone attack in the Beit Lahia area in northern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of five people, including three children, is another example of the ongoing war and the escalation of violence in the region. He said this incident demonstrates that attacks on residential areas and civilians continue unabated.
Hazem Qassem, referring to the targeting of a group of residents in a public square, emphasized that this attack is part of a series of killings and repeated violations in the Gaza Strip. According to him, children were directly targeted in this event.
The Hamas spokesperson also described what he called the “Peace Council” as incapable of compelling Israel to halt attacks and fulfill any potential commitments. He added that the continuation of this situation reflects the failure of political efforts to contain the conflict.
Qassem urged mediators and guarantor countries to assume their responsibilities to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and prevent the recurrence of such incidents. The Gaza Strip, considered one of the most volatile conflict zones in the Middle East, has witnessed increased attacks and civilian casualties in recent months.
