He emphasized that the day cannot begin and end with messages containing threats and declarations of war. Lula made these remarks on Saturday at a meeting of progressive leaders in Barcelona, Spain. He highlighted that the international environment requires greater calm and responsibility from world leaders. According to him, the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council must reconsider their approach and actions after failing to stop the war with Iran. He added that international structures will only be effective when major powers play a constructive and committed role. The Brazilian president, referring to the current situation, called for a change in leadership behavior on the global stage and stressed the necessity of reducing tensions through diplomatic means.
