Democratic Lawmakers Propose 13-Point Impeachment Plan Against President Trump in US Congress

A group of Democratic representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives have introduced a 13-point impeachment proposal against President Donald Trump. The plan accuses him of “high crimes and misdemeanors,” an action that could mark a new chapter in Washington’s political conflicts.

In the text of this impeachment proposal, Trump is accused of initiating wars and military operations without congressional authorization. The authors claim that he has directly or indirectly engaged in conflicts against Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Nigeria, and the Gaza Strip.

The proposal also charges the U.S. president with threatening to use military force against Panama, Colombia, Cuba, and Greenland. The sponsors argue that such potential actions may exceed the executive branch’s legal powers.

Other accusations mentioned in the document include the militarization of domestic law enforcement, illegal detention and deportation of individuals, retaliatory actions against freedom of expression and political bias, as well as the undermining of the rule of law. So far, the White House has not issued an official response to the details of this proposal.
