Elon Musk Jokes About Moving Data Centers to Space After Republican Election Defeat

Elon Musk, the American billionaire and owner of the social network X, posted a sarcastic message following the Democrats’ victory in the U.S. House and Senate elections. On his social media account, he wrote that data centers in space now seem very attractive.

This message came despite Musk having spent huge sums supporting Republican candidates in the elections. His largest campaign investment was in the Texas Senate race, where Ken Paxton, the Republican nominee, was defeated by Democrat James Talarico.

Musk’s message was widely interpreted as a sardonic reaction to the election results and the failure of the candidates he supported. However, he did not directly mention the reasons for the defeat or its consequences in his post.

Meanwhile, data centers are considered essential infrastructure for the development of artificial intelligence and cloud computing technology. The idea of transferring part of these infrastructures to space to harness solar energy and reduce problems related to energy supply and cooling on Earth has gained special attention from technology experts in recent years.
