Turkey Officially Launches Visa Issuance Services in Herat Consulate

The Turkish Consulate in Herat has officially started issuing visas to residents of the province. Announced alongside the commemoration of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, this development means that visa services are now available within Herat itself, and Afghans no longer need to travel abroad to obtain these services.
The Turkish Consulate began its operations in Herat about ten months ago, and now its consular services section has been formally activated. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local Herat officials, university professors, and a number of cultural figures who described the consulate’s and the TIKA institution’s activities in cultural, educational, health, and humanitarian fields as beneficial.
Tozjan Kiziloglu, the Turkish Consul General, emphasized the expansion of cooperation and promised more opportunities to broaden economic relations and investment. He added that efforts are underway to facilitate travel for Afghan businessmen to Turkey, as well as to enable Turkish investors to visit Herat, aiming to better recognize the province’s economic potentials.
