Afghan Red Crescent Aid to the Needy Must Continue, Deputy PM Says

During a special Afghan Red Crescent Week ceremony, Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of the prime minister, once again stressed the importance of continuing the organisation’s assistance to support people in need. He said the aid efforts should be carried out continuously and on a wider scale so that more affected and deprived families can benefit from the support. Every year, the Afghan Red Crescent seeks, within the framework of its humanitarian responsibilities, to provide services to vulnerable sections of society. However, there is a need for greater cooperation from the Taliban administration and other institutions in securing the resources and facilities needed for this assistance.
