Russian senator says Europe may halt military support for Ukraine after US

Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy chairman of the international affairs committee of Russia’s Federation Council, claimed that a reduction in US support for Ukraine could also force European countries to gradually scale back military backing for Kyiv.
According to RIA Novosti, Dzhabarov said the Ukrainian government is dependent on foreign assistance and that this situation cannot continue indefinitely.
The Russian official added that if the European Union concludes that Washington intends to distance itself from the Ukraine conflict, shipments of weapons to Kyiv could also stop.
According to Dzhabarov, a reduction in US support could weaken European countries’ will to continue military aid to Ukraine and pave the way for that support to end.
