Taliban sets office hours for government departments in second half of the year

The Taliban administration has announced working hours for central and provincial government offices for the second half of the 1405 solar year.
According to a news release from the Taliban administration’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the schedule will be implemented from 1 Mehr to 29 Hoot.
The release said office hours from Saturday to Wednesday will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m. The ministry said one hour, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., has also been set aside for prayers and lunch.
Under the announcement, working hours on Thursday have been set from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Taliban administration’s Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs also said the working hours for Ramadan will be announced later.
The ministry added that productive and service departments, sectors with continuous operations, media outlets, health institutions, and departments related to education and higher education should set their working hours in line with their working conditions and internal regulations.
Mezān to Hoot covers the second half of the solar year in Afghanistan, and government departments usually adjust their working hours seasonally during this period.
