More Than 800kg of Narcotics Seized in Three Afghan Provinces

The Taliban administration said more than 800 kilograms of narcotics were discovered and seized in separate operations in the provinces of Nimroz, Takhar and Badakhshan.
According to the Taliban administration, counter-narcotics police prevented the smuggling of 649 kilograms of narcotics in Nimroz province, 85 kilograms in Takhar and 74 kilograms of other drugs in Badakhshan.
The Taliban administration also said eight people have been arrested in connection with the case, and their files will be handed over to the judicial authorities after completion.
Nimroz is one of the provinces bordering Iran and Pakistan and has for years been one of the main routes for drug trafficking in Afghanistan.
