Fate of Passenger Ship With 240 On Board Unknown After It Vanishes Off Indonesia

Officials in Indonesia have said that a passenger ship with about 240 people on board has disappeared in the waters of the Java Sea and contact with it has been lost.
According to reports, the vessel went out of communication range after encountering bad weather, and search and rescue operations were then launched to find it.
So far, no information has been released about any possible casualties or injuries among those on board.
The Java Sea is considered one of Indonesia’s key maritime routes, and poor weather in these areas sometimes puts ship travel at risk.
