Family seeks help after teenager goes missing in Baghlan

Relatives of Qari Shamsullah say the teenager has been missing for several days in the New City district of Baghlan province, and no trace of him has been found so far. According to his family, he left home last Sunday to go to school but never returned.

Based on information released by his family, Qari Shamsullah is originally from the village of Laghiha in the New City district of Baghlan province. It is said that he studied at the Sugar Factory school.

The teenager’s relatives have asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to inform the family. They have also called for the news of his disappearance to be widely shared in the media and on social networks so that a clue to his whereabouts can be found.

The incident comes as, despite the Taliban administration’s claim that nationwide security has been ensured, reports indicate a rise in disappearances, mysterious killings, armed robberies and kidnappings in different parts of the country. Baghlan is one of Afghanistan’s northeastern provinces, where the New City district is located.
