IOM warns of fake job adverts using its name in Afghanistan

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has warned about fake job adverts being circulated in Afghanistan using the name of the agency, and has urged people to make sure such offers are genuine before sharing information or applying.
In a post on its X account on Monday, 2 Sunbula, the agency said all of its job opportunities in Afghanistan are published only through the ACBAR jobs website.
According to the IOM, all contacts related to its recruitment process are also made only through its official email address with the @iom.int domain.
The agency also stressed that it does not charge any fee for job opportunities and does not ask applicants for bank details or other sensitive information.
The International Organization for Migration is one of the United Nations agencies dealing with migration and operates in Afghanistan in support of migrants, internally displaced people and returnees.
