Zabul Police Destroy Over 9 Tons of Narcotics in Separate Operations

The Zabul provincial police command announced that more than 9 tons of narcotics, seized during separate operations, have been destroyed.

Zabihullah Jawhar, spokesperson for the Zabul police command, told TOLOnews that these drugs were confiscated from several individuals in the center of Qalat and districts of the province and were destroyed today.

According to him, combating narcotics is a priority for the police in this province.

Zabul, one of the southern provinces of Afghanistan, has previously reported narcotics seizures over the past years. Since the Taliban’s return to power, their administration has consistently emphasized combating the cultivation and trafficking of narcotics.
