Taliban Authorities Declare 151 Acres of Land in Khost as State Property
The Taliban Ministry of Justice has announced that 151 acres of land in Bari village, Gurbuz district, Khost province, have been officially designated as “state property.” The individuals in possession of these lands are required to surrender them to the Commission for the Recovery of Disputed Lands.
According to the ministry, a special Taliban court, after reviewing the available documents, ruled that these lands belong to the Taliban administration. Based on this ruling, those who previously used the land are obliged to hand it over.
These lands were previously evaluated by the Taliban commission responsible for reviewing disputed lands. After some individuals objected to the commission’s decision, the case was referred to the special court for further examination.
The Taliban administration has previously declared certain lands as “state property” in various provinces, an action that has sometimes sparked protests from property owners and local residents.
