Floods in Nangarhar Destroy Dozens of Homes and Kill One

Heavy rains and subsequent floods in Nangarhar province have claimed at least one life and destroyed dozens of homes in both the provincial capital and its districts.
The Nangarhar Governor’s Press Office reported that in Shinwar district, the roof of a house collapsed due to the rain, resulting in one fatality and three injuries.
According to the office, in the outskirts of Jalalabad city, 13 houses were completely destroyed and 50 others sustained damage.
Additionally, floods in the Momandara district damaged 20 houses, several shops, and some public facilities.
Nangarhar, an eastern province of Afghanistan, experiences annual flooding during the rainy season, causing damage to residents, homes, and public infrastructure.
