North Korea Tests Cruise Missile Equipped with Cluster Warhead

North Korea’s official news agency has reported the testing of a strategic cruise missile armed with a cluster warhead. The test aimed to evaluate the missile’s in-flight performance and its capability to strike a designated target.

A few days earlier, the country had also launched several short-range ballistic missiles, which, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, were fired towards South Korea’s eastern coasts. These actions could escalate tensions in the East Asian region and raise concerns at the international level.
