Taliban Forces Seize Light and Heavy Weapons in Laghman Province

Taliban security officials announced the discovery and confiscation of a number of light and heavy weapons along with a significant amount of ammunition in Dawlat Shah district of Laghman province. According to the police commander of Dawlat Shah district, these weapons were seized in coordination with the intelligence directorate and military forces from a brigade during a mission to resolve a conflict between two tribes in a mountainous area named “Naya” within the district. Reports stated that two suspicious individuals were arrested while transporting the weapons. Authorities confiscated five Kalashnikov rifles, 31 Kalashnikov magazines, four rocket rounds, six boxes of Kalashnikov ammunition, one box of PK ammunition, and three hand grenades from them. The Taliban administration stated that after completing initial investigations, the detainees will be handed over to judicial and legal institutions for further legal proceedings.
