Afghanistan’s Futsal Goalkeeper Mohammad Javad Safari Out of Thailand Continental Tournament Due to Injury

Mohammad Javad Safari, the first-choice goalkeeper of Afghanistan’s national futsal team, will miss the international Continental tournament in Thailand due to an injury.

In an interview with a futsal news outlet, he stated that because of a minor injury, he was unable to participate in the national team’s preparation camp, which led to him missing the competition.

Safari has also been sidelined from the futsal tournament in Mashhad with his club team, Giti Pasand Isfahan.

Regarding his condition, the goalkeeper said, “Unfortunately, I suffered a minor injury, and for this reason, I couldn’t accompany Giti Pasand in the Mashhad tournament nor the Afghanistan national team in the Continental tournament.”
