Car Overturns in Badakhshan, Killing Two and Injuring Eight
Two people were killed and eight others injured after a Land Cruiser overturned in the Shukhar village area of Kof Ab district in Badakhshan province. Ehsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the Badakhshan provincial police command, stated that the incident occurred after the vehicle went off the road and overturned. According to him, the injured were transported to the provincial hospital by security forces, and their medical conditions are currently under evaluation. The police spokesperson attributed the cause of the accident to a mechanical problem with the vehicle. Badakhshan province, located in the mountainous northeast of the country, experiences similar traffic incidents annually due to its difficult terrain and lack of standard infrastructure on many of its roads.
