Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Claim Heavy Damage to US Bases in Jordan
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that in the 25th wave of “Nasr 2” operations, the “King Faisal” and “Prince Hassan” bases in Jordan were targeted with missile and drone strikes, causing heavy damage to American equipment and personnel.
The IRGC’s public relations office stated in a communiqué that a hangar used for preparing F-15 fighter jets was targeted in these attacks, and eight brand-new MQ-9 drones were completely destroyed before being prepared, with two additional drones sustaining significant damage.
The statement further noted that in another attack, two heavy American helicopters inside a maintenance hangar were targeted and critically damaged. The IRGC also reported that a number of American forces were killed or wounded as a result of an assault on a military accommodation center.
The IRGC described these attacks as a response to what it termed “recent nights’ American aggressions” and emphasized that the operations would continue. The communiqué warned that if US attacks persist, even more severe actions will be taken.
As of the publication of this report, no response has been issued from either American officials or the Jordanian government. The King Faisal and Prince Hassan bases are among military facilities in Jordan that have been used over the years for international coalition operations.
