US Military Deaths in Clashes with Iran Rise to 17, Says AP
The Associated Press has reported that the number of US military personnel killed in recent clashes with Iran has reached 17, marking an increase compared to earlier figures.
Previously, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that the number of American wounded related to these attacks had reached 427. American officials have not provided further details regarding the condition of the injured.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently stated that last Friday, an Iranian missile managed to bypass Jordan’s air defense system despite most missiles being intercepted.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) had earlier confirmed that following Iranian attacks on the Al-Salt base in Jordan, two American service members were killed and one went missing. Reports indicate that details about the casualties and the extent of these attacks are being released in a limited manner.
