Iran Targets Two Key US Military Bases in Kuwait with Drone Strikes

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s military announced that during the sixteenth phase of Operation ‘Lightning,’ it targeted two significant United States military bases on Kuwaiti soil with destructive drone attacks. According to the statement, an ammunition depot at Camp Udairi as well as the Patriot radar system and an air surveillance radar at Ali Al Salem Air Base were targeted.

The released report stated that this action was in response to what it described as “repeated aggressions by the enemy, the martyrdom of compatriots, and attacks on bridges, infrastructure, and civilian areas.” The Iranian military said the operation was carried out a few hours ago.

Camp Udairi is considered one of the important American military bases in the region and is located approximately 104 kilometers from Iran’s borders. The camp serves as a support and reorganization center for American forces, and according to Iranian military officials, disruption of its operations could impact the support operations of American forces in the region.

Ali Al Salem Air Base is also regarded as one of the main American air transport centers in West Asia. This base is recognized as a crucial transit point for the movement of troops and military equipment and plays a key role in the United States military’s logistical strategy.
