Bus Carrying Mourners Overturns in Punjab, Killing Four and Injuring 15
At least four people were killed and 15 others seriously injured when a passenger bus overturned in Sheikhupura district, Punjab, Pakistan. The incident occurred on Wednesday near the Kala Khatai road in the Muridke area.
According to the Dawn newspaper, the bus was carrying mourners returning from a religious gathering in the Syedwala area, heading towards the city of Lahore. The report states that the driver lost control of the bus while trying to avoid a collision with a motorcycle, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the scene after receiving the report and found four people dead at the site. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
Additionally, 15 other passengers were injured in the accident. After receiving first aid, the injured were transferred to the government hospital in Narang Mandi for further treatment.
