17-Year-Old Girl Killed in Takhar; Taliban Transfers Family

A 17-year-old girl named Mojgan was shot dead in Taloqan, the capital of Takhar province. According to a local source, the incident occurred on Monday evening at her home in the Chashma Shir area of Badakhshi Qishlaq. Following the incident, Taliban fighters transported her body to Takhar provincial hospital and also took all members of her family with them.

The source added that the event happened between 6 and 7 p.m., and Mojgan, the daughter of Yarmohammad known as “Babaka,” was shot inside her home. So far, it is unclear who fired the shots and what the motive behind the shooting was.

According to available information, on Tuesday, the girl’s body was handed over to her family after being taken to the hospital and was subsequently buried. However, no details have been released about the condition of her family members or the reasons for their transfer by Taliban forces.

The Taliban administration has not provided any explanation regarding the circumstances of the killing or the actions of its forces in transferring the victim’s family as of the time this report was published. The silence and lack of transparency in such incidents have raised concerns about the investigation process and the delivery of justice in criminal cases.
