Third Industrial Exhibition Opens in Balkh to Promote Domestic Production

The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced the opening of the third “Mawlānā Jalāl al-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī” Industrial Exhibition in Balkh province, attended by local officials as well as a number of industrialists and traders. The exhibition aims to support domestic products and showcase the country’s industrial capacities.
According to the ministry’s press office, the event was organized by the Masih Muhammadi Exhibition Services Company in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Mawlawi Nurulhadi Abu Idris, Deputy Governor of Balkh, along with local department heads and influential figures, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
At the event, the Deputy Governor of Balkh emphasized support for domestic producers and their role in creating job opportunities. He also urged Afghan investors living abroad to contribute to economic growth and industrial development by investing within the country. Meanwhile, economic activists continuously stress that providing practical infrastructure, policy stability, and access to external markets are essential prerequisites for attracting investment.
The exhibition features domestic products displayed across 170 booths in various sectors. The event will run for three days, from July 11 to July 13, at the Almas Hotel in Mazar-i-Sharif.
