Russia and China Conclude Joint Naval Exercise ‘Maritime-2026’ in Yellow Sea

China’s Ministry of Defense announced that the naval forces of Russia and China have completed the maritime phase of the joint exercise “Maritime-2026” in the Yellow Sea. According to the ministry, this phase was concluded on July 11 and included a series of operational drills conducted at sea and in related airspace.
Based on the information released, the warships of the two countries carried out training in rescue operations, attacks on maritime targets, and cooperation in air and missile defense. The Chinese Ministry of Defense stated that the purpose of these exercises was to enhance combat skills and increase coordination to safeguard peace.
An official statement said that the coordination between the two sides increased mutual trust and improved the capability for joint operations under combat conditions, strengthening the traditional bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.
It was also announced that after the completion of this phase, the Russian and Chinese warships will be deployed for joint patrols in relevant areas of the Pacific Ocean. Both countries stated that these actions are undertaken within the framework of supporting regional and international peace and stability.
