Afghan Ministry Distributes Over 181 Million Afghanis in Aid to Returnees and Displaced Families

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations announced that in the month of Jawza this year, more than 181 million Afghanis in cash and non-cash aid were distributed to 45,550 returnee and displaced families across various regions of the country.
According to information published by the ministry, this assistance included cash, food supplies, medical equipment, and clothing, aimed at addressing the basic needs of families who have either returned to the country or been displaced due to insecurity and economic challenges.
Officials from the Ministry of Refugees stated that the distribution of humanitarian aid continues in cooperation with several domestic agencies and international organizations. However, many returnee families in different provinces still face shortages of shelter, employment opportunities, and healthcare services—a matter that requires transparent planning and effective management by the Taliban administration.
Migration experts emphasize that while temporary aid can meet some immediate needs, sustainable solutions for returnees’ problems require creating job opportunities, ensuring access to essential services, and guaranteeing fair distribution of assistance throughout the country.
