Medvedev: The US Has No Right to Decide for the World
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, stated that according to the views of most countries around the world, the United States does not have the right to make decisions for other nations or impose its will on them.
On Sunday night, July 5, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, Medvedev wrote in a Telegram message that the US is not an appropriate model for the world. He added that many countries agree with the view that every nation, regardless of its size, has the ability to solve its own problems.
Medvedev emphasized that the White House should not decide for others or impose its policies on other countries. He further stated that respect for the independence of nations should be the cornerstone of international relations.
The senior Russian official concluded by urging American authorities to “first address the chaos in their own home” before commenting on other countries.
