Unprecedented Heatwave in the US Claims 25 Lives and Triggers Power Outages

American media have reported that an unprecedented heatwave in the United States has so far claimed the lives of at least 25 people, while approximately 840,000 families are facing power outages. This situation is unfolding as some states experience their highest recorded temperatures in over a century.
According to a report by ABC Network, Washington D.C. has set a new temperature record. Heat-related deaths have been reported in New Jersey, Illinois, Mississippi, and several other areas.
The unprecedented heat, combined with stormy conditions, has caused instability in power grids across various states. In some areas, such as New York, temperatures have risen so high that asphalt roads have begun to melt.
Meanwhile, several cities have canceled celebrations related to the US Independence Day due to the extreme heat. Local officials have urged citizens to stay indoors to avoid heatstroke and to follow health guidelines.
