Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Expresses Condolences on the Martyrdom of Iran’s Leader

Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced that he represented his government and people at the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and conveyed his condolences to the Iranian government and people.
In a statement, he said that the wisdom, leadership style, and profound influence of Iran’s martyred leader on the country’s internal developments as well as the region will remain etched in the historical memory of generations to come. Sharif emphasized that his presence was to pay respects and express sympathy with the Iranian people.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan also announced that he was accompanied on this visit by a high-ranking delegation, including Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister; Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander; several senior parliamentarians including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly; along with a number of ministers and senior government officials.
Sharif concluded his message by stressing that Pakistan, as a brotherly neighbor, stands alongside Iran during this period of mourning and reaffirms its solidarity with the Iranian government and people.
