Over 3 Tons of Narcotics Seized and 45 Arrested at Borders

The General Directorate of Borders has announced that security forces from this department seized 3,110 kilograms of the plant ‘Woman,’ used in the processing of narcotics, at Kandahar International Airport over the past week. According to the directorate, this operation was conducted as part of detection efforts in border areas.
Based on the released information, during the same period, 45 individuals were arrested in connection with various crimes at Kabul International Airport and the Islam Qala and Spin Boldak border checkpoints. Among those detained, eight were accused of document forgery, 32 were deportees, and five were pursued in relation to other crimes.
Officials also stated that at the Islam Qala checkpoint, 940 million Iranian tomans were prevented from being smuggled and, in accordance with regulations, the amount was handed over to the relevant authority. No further details have been released regarding the identities of the detainees or the handling of their cases.
