Russia Calls for Restraint Amid Rising Tensions Between Kabul and Islamabad

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged Afghanistan and Pakistan to resolve their recent disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means. This appeal comes amid escalating tensions between Kabul and Islamabad following recent attacks by Pakistani forces on certain areas of Afghanistan.

In a statement released by the ministry, the recent assaults by Pakistan’s military regime on Afghan soil were described as “worrying and regrettable,” stressing the urgent need to immediately halt armed clashes between the two sides. Moscow has called on both parties to exercise restraint and prevent further escalation of tensions.

The Russian Foreign Ministry added that managing disagreements through diplomacy and direct talks is the only way to prevent further instability in the region. The country emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in South Asia and its impact on regional security.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the recent Pakistani attacks on various regions of Afghanistan have resulted in the deaths of 36 civilians and injuries to 163 others. These events have prompted widespread national and international reactions, increasing concerns about rising tensions between the two neighboring countries.
