20 Motorcyclists Compete in Afghanistan’s 1,500-Kilometer Off-Road Touring Race

The inaugural “Tour of Afghanistan” motorcycle competition has begun in Kabul with the participation of 20 athletes. The race is set to cover a challenging 1,500-kilometer route, concluding in Badakhshan province. This event is organized by the country’s Motorcycle Federation.

Participants will ride off-road motorcycles over approximately 1,500 kilometers within five days. The competition spans eight provinces, where riders will showcase their technical skills across various road conditions.

Organizers state that the purpose of this sporting tour is to enhance the technical capabilities of the athletes, identify top talents, and select deserving candidates for Afghanistan’s national off-road motorcycle racing team.

The Motorcycle Federation expressed hope that hosting such competitions will foster the growth of this sport and encourage youth participation across different provinces of the country.
