8560 Foreign Nationals Registered Entering and Exiting Afghanistan in First Quarter of 1405

The General Directorate of Statistics and Information has announced that during the first quarter of the year 1405 (March-June 2026), a total of 8,560 foreign nationals were recorded entering and exiting Afghanistan through the country’s airports and land border ports.

According to data released by the directorate, 4,568 foreign nationals entered Afghanistan in this period, while 3,992 others left the country.

The report states that the highest volume of foreign national traffic occurred via the Nimroz and Herat border crossings—two key western border gates that play a critical role in regional transit and exchanges.

The General Directorate of Statistics and Information annually collects and publishes statistics related to the movement of both domestic and foreign travelers through official border crossings. However, no further details regarding the purpose of travel or the nationalities of these foreign nationals have been provided.
