Two Water Supply Projects Launched and Completed in Kunar and Kandahar

The Taliban’s Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development has announced the commencement of construction on a water supply network in the Manogi district of Kunar province, with a budget exceeding 5.8 million Afghanis. According to the ministry, this project aims to provide local residents with access to drinking water.

Simultaneously, the ministry reported the completion of another water supply network in the Maruf district of Kandahar province, valued at over five million Afghanis. Officials stated that this project was put into operation after the construction work was finished.

No further details were provided regarding the number of beneficiary families or the duration of these projects. The provinces of Kunar and Kandahar are among the areas where some residents have faced shortages of safe drinking water.
