Taliban Justice Ministry Shuts Down 13 Illegal Transaction Guidance Offices in Kabul

The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has announced the closure of 13 transaction guidance offices in Kabul over the past month due to illegal activities and violations. According to the ministry, this action followed inspections of 410 such offices conducted by the Directorate of Transaction Guidance and Petition Writers.
The ministry’s statement also revealed that during the same period, 180 new operation licenses were issued and 91 licenses were renewed. Officials emphasized that monitoring will continue on an ongoing basis.
Furthermore, according to the published data, complaints and petitions from 40 Kabul residents facing issues related to house rentals and other transactions were addressed.
The transaction guidance market in Kabul is considered a highly active economic sector, and the lack of effective oversight in the past has frequently led to citizen complaints. Although the Ministry of Justice reports enhanced supervision, many residents expect the investigation of violations to be conducted with greater transparency and for tenants’ and landlords’ rights to be practically protected.
