Taliban Consulate General Meets with Transport Official in Iran’s Khorasan Razavi Province
The Taliban Consulate General in Mashhad has announced that Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Mutawakkil, the Taliban Consul General, met and held talks with Mahmoud Ommati, Deputy of the Trade Association of Transport Companies in Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province. The main focus of this meeting was to develop commercial and economic interactions and explore ways to reduce existing barriers.
According to information published by the Consulate General, both parties emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in transit and creating more facilities for the transportation of commercial goods. Additionally, potential solutions for managing border challenges were discussed during the meeting.
Mashhad, as one of the most important commercial and transit centers in northeastern Iran, plays a significant role in the movement of Afghan traders and transport companies. Easing transit procedures could positively impact the volume of trade exchanges and the activities of transport companies on both sides of the border.
